Pastoral and Progress Coach

Salary: £18,526 - £19,526 (Pro rata salary £10,847 - £11,432). Incremental progression throughout the band is available.

Contract Type: Permanent, Term Time Only plus two weeks | Hours per Week: 23.25 | Location: Dakota Avenue, Salford, M50 2PU

About the Role:

The Pastoral Team at FutureSkills is a highly skilled, energetic team that works with students and parents to overcome barriers to learning. They provide pastoral support for students on courses from pre-entry level to higher education.

You will work as part of the Pastoral Team to support our students during the college day. This may mean assisting students to access financial, careers, counselling and enrichment support and working with small groups to develop strategies to improve engagement, adopt positive behaviours and enhance their ability to progress. You will advocate on behalf of the students and signpost to additional sources of support when needed. You will be a visible presence around the college and offer support to students during lunch and break times. The ideal candidate will also be willing to contribute to the enrichment programme, helping students to develop their resilience and skills outside of the classroom.

We are looking for someone who can communicate equally well with students, parents and the staff at FutureSkills.
