About the Role

Salford City College require a motivated, pro-active and suitably qualified Trainer/Assessor to deliver and assess on Building services engineering apprenticeship programmes, primarily Installer/Craftsperson and Service and Maintenance engineer. As a trainer/assessor your focus will be to support learners to reach their goals through effective coaching and mentoring both on and off-site. As the first point of contact for learners and their employers, you will provide the support needed to enable them to successfully complete their apprenticeship journey.

You will be joining a team of people who are committed to supporting learners to achieve outstanding outcomes in a fast growing sector, delivering and assessing Standards up to Level 3.

You will be responsible for developing the appropriate knowledge, skills and behaviours both in the workplace and at college, working closely with employers and tutors to ensure that apprentices meet the required standard. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in Heating and Ventilation installation or service and maintenance with experience of training apprentices and using digital learning technology. In addition, you must have experience of recruiting new learners, engaging with employers and in supporting learners to achieve excellent results. The successful candidate will possess an assessor qualification (D32/3, A1or CAVA) and preferably IQA (D34/V1or AIQA) qualification.
