As the ‘Further Education College of the year 2019’, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering Technician to join us on a full-time permanent basis, reporting into the Head of Engineering.

We are looking for someone to provide technician support to the department and related trades, including maintaining tools, equipment and workshops. You’ll be asked to maintain all internal and external areas in a clean and tidy condition. You’ll also be maintaining the stores and distribute tools to students and ensure their safe correct return along with preparing materials for the use by students. 

To be considered for this role you will have experience of working in the Industry along with familiarity of working within an educational establishment. You’ll need experience of working with Industry related machinery. Hold a valid First Aid at Work Certificate and a relevant qualification to NVQ 2/3. Finally, you’ll need to be confident communicator, able to interact professionally with a range of stakeholders including school children, academic staff and employers
