We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and industry-engaged Lecturer to join our Creative Industries team within the Young Professionals Academy. You will play a key role in the delivery of our innovative T Level in Media, Broadcast and Production, designed to equip learners with the technical knowledge and practical experience needed to thrive in the media and film industries. This is a permanent part time role that reports directly to the Head of Section.

Responsibilities
This role involves delivering the innovative T Level in Media, Broadcast and Production – a course developed with industry partners to equip 16–19-year-old learners with the practical and technical skills needed to succeed in media careers. Students study core modules such as production workflows, media ethics, audience engagement, and digital platforms, alongside a specialist focus in content creation, including visual, audio and written production.
As a Lecturer, you will lead engaging, vocationally focused lessons, guide students through project-based learning, and support curriculum planning that reflects current industry standards. You will work closely with employers, contribute to events and placements, and support learners through tutoring and pastoral care.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A degree or professional qualification in Film, Media or a related discipline
- A recognised teaching qualification (Level 5 or above) or willingness to achieve one
- Proven experience in teaching or training within the media/creative sector
- Strong understanding of media production techniques and workflows
- Familiarity with T Levels or equivalent vocational qualifications (desirable)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
