We are currently recruiting for a full-time, fixed-term Receptionist to join Cadbury College until the end of the academic year. This is a key role within the College, as the Receptionist is often the first point of contact for students, parents and visitors and plays an important part in creating a welcoming, professional and well-organised environment. The role is varied and people-focused, offering the opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of the College while gaining valuable experience in an educational setting.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving and welcoming visitors to the College, issuing visitor passes and dealing with student and parent queries.
  • Handling incoming calls to the switchboard and directing calls as appropriate.
  • Monitoring the student absence line and recording details on the ProMonitor system.
  • Control of barriers for students, visitors and deliveries, ensuring the College entrance is kept tidy.
  • Handling incoming and outgoing post, including parcels and arranging collections.
  • Assisting with examination administration and certificates as required by the Exams Officer.
  • Assisting other clerical staff with typing and data input.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Good standard of Maths (minimum GCSE Grade C or equivalent).
  • Some experience of basic administrative tasks, such as data input or record keeping.
  • Experience of working in a front-facing reception or customer service environment.
  • Experience or knowledge of working in an educational environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Willingness to be flexible.
