Join our friendly, thriving and supportive staff here at The Sixth Form College, Solihull. We aspire to be outstanding professionally and personally, taking time to invest in everything we do, to develop transformative life chances for all of our students and to stretch their potential to the full.

The Sixth Form College, Solihull is a large, culturally diverse specialist in A Levels and Level 3 BTEC qualifications, and part of the Summit Learning Trust.

We are looking for enthusiastic and expert practitioners to teach mainly on our growing A Level Accounting course with some teaching on either A level Business or the specialist units on the BTEC Diploma/Extended Diploma in Business. Therefore to be successful you will have a degree or vocational qualification or equivalent, as well as a teaching qualification. You will also have previous experience of teaching A Level Accounting and ideally experience of teaching on Level 3 Applied Business Courses.

A-level Accounting started in September 2019 and is flourishing. It is part of the Business and Law Curriculum Area which also offers A-Level Law (AQA) and A-Level Business (AQA) to a diverse student population.

In Accounting and Business, opportunities will be offered to students outside the curriculum area, including initiatives in which students have the opportunity to work with outstanding local universities and visit various international businesses such as Morgan Motors, Gymshark and Innocent Smoothies to see Accounting and Business in action.

Members of the Business & Law team are friendly and open and have a culture of seeking and sharing best practice. All teachers are given responsibility to lead on aspects of their relevant specification and as a result all benefit from each other’s preparation, resources and expertise. We welcome the fresh ideas, impetus, and strategies new members to the team can bring.
