Higher Education Lecturer in Veterinary Nursing (maternity cover)
- 💰Salary: Up to £39,201 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience)

University Centre Sparsholt is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lecturer in Veterinary Nursing and Applied Animal Science to join our respected Higher Education team.

About the role: 🌟
The successful candidate will be part of a team ensuring the quality of Sparsholt‘s Higher Education provision and will teach on a range of courses which may include Veterinary Nursing Degree, Veterinary Nursing Diploma, and Animal Science. The academic role will involve supporting our students and delivering both taught and practical classes. All staff will engage in CPD and scholarly activity and there are opportunities for personal development to study higher degrees where appropriate to the role. We encourage staff to undertake time in practice annually as part of your professional registration which we will support.
What we’re looking for: 🌱
• We are looking for qualified nurses with practice experience. Preference will be given to those holding appropriate post graduate qualifications. Diploma or Degree route of qualification accepted.
• Experience in working with young people or learners
• Holding a minimum of a grade 4/C in English and maths at GCSE level (or equivalent)
• A passion for teaching, mentoring, and inspiring students
• Strong communication skills
The post holder should also possess, or be willing to work towards, an appropriate teaching qualification. Teaching qualifications are supported as part of your development and run on site.
