At Sparsholt College we are launching a new People Services Team to help deliver an outstanding employee experience and this is a unique opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking team at the start of an exciting journey. We are investing in our people services team, modernising our systems and processes, and creating a more strategic, customer-focused approach to supporting our staff and their wellbeing
As we build our new People Services function, we are recruiting for a number of roles that will play a key part in shaping how we attract, support, develop and retain talent
The Role
We are seeking to appoint a Head of People Services Delivery to provide leadership and operational oversight of all people services activities, including employment records, payroll administration, employee lifecycle processes from recruitment through to retirement, benefits administration, immigration compliance, and people services operations. The postholder will act as a people system super-user, drive digital transformation and continuous improvement to enhance service efficiency, data quality and the employee experience.
The role plays a key part in delivering the College's People Strategy and supporting our ambition to attract, develop and retain a talented, engaged and high-performing workforce and is critical in ensuring that an essential service within the college is operating efficiently, listening to its users and delivering compliant people practices.

How you will contribute:
• Lead and manage People Services team to deliver a high-quality, responsive and effective people focused service.
• Oversee recruitment administration, onboarding, contract management, probation monitoring and employee lifecycle processes
• Oversee the transition from manual processes to automated and digital solutions.
• Lead on delivery of accurate and timely payroll process each month
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation, safer recruitment requirements, safeguarding obligations and College policies.
• Provide expert advice and guidance to managers on employment-related matters and College procedures.
• Ensure the team undertake accurate and timely processing of contractual changes.
• Support employee relations processes including disciplinary, grievance, capability and attendance management procedures.
• Ensure accurate workforce data and reporting.
• Use workforce analytics, dashboards and management information to support decision making, to monitor service standards, key performance indicators and operational metrics.
• Develop, implement and continuously improve operational processes and procedures.
• Ensure the service is delivered consistently across all College sites.
• Promote a culture of excellence, accountability and continuous improvement
• Maintain accurate, compliant and confidential employee records
• Full compliance with employment legislation, GDPR and Sponsor Licence requirements
Essential
• Professionally qualified (CIPD)
• Experience of manging or supervising a team of people professionals
• Proven track record of designing and delivering people strategies and large scale HR programmes
• Strong employment legislation knowledge and practical application
• Excellent influencing, negotiation, communication skills
