💰Salary: Up to £24,413 per annum (dependent upon qualifications, skills and experience)

About the role: ✨
Under the direction of the Assistant Principal and in liaison with the Student Wellbeing Co-ordinator and academic teams, you will be focusing upon learner attendance, retention and success by providing regular learner review meetings to enable them to access all aspects of the College curriculum and achieve their learning goals. In the first instance, this role will involve supporting students predominantly following vocational courses.
The role is pivotal in contributing to the College achieving ‘outstanding’ levels of student retention and achievement by tracking and monitoring learner’s academic progress, attendance and first line welfare concerns. In addition, you will identify learners who need to overcome barriers to learning, support learners to achieve their full potential, through close liaison with college specialist services as well as co-ordinating and delivering group tutorials and personal development activities.

Excellent communication skills – you’ll be liaising with academic staff, students, and parents, so strong interpersonal skills are essential.
A genuine motivation to work with young people - you should enjoy working with learners and be committed to helping them achieve their goals
A positive ‘can-do’ attitude – this role requires enthusiasm, resilience, and the ability to encourage and inspire others.
Strong organisational skills - you’ll need the ability to coordinate your own workload independently, prioritise effectively, and manage multiple tasks.
Ability to identify and address barriers to learning – you will be supporting students with a range of needs and challenges, working alongside specialist college services when required.
