Sessional Lecturer – Aquaculture, Fisheries and Marine Studies (Higher Education)

University Centre Sparsholt is looking to appoint a sessional lecturer in Aquaculture, Fisheries and Marine studies for approximately one day per week.
The successful candidate will be part of the friendly and ambitious Higher Education team, and will teach across our degree courses in the Aquaculture, Fisheries and Marine subject area. This academic role will involve delivering both taught and practical sessions alongside supporting and tutoring our students.
In particular we would love to hear from applicants with knowledge or experience in salmonids, aquaculture, marine environments and ecology, although candidates with experience in broader areas would also be of interest.
The post holder should ideally be educated to at least Master’s level a relevant subject area, or have equivalent experience within industry.
The post holder will ideally hold a recognised teaching qualification, or be willing to attain this qualification through study provided by Sparsholt. All staff will engage in CPD and scholarly activity, and there are opportunities for personal development appropriate to the role.
Our teaching and research takes place in our Aquatics Research and Conservation Centre, as well as our Salmonid Rearing and Trials Centre, which allows us to provide industry leading facilities.
This post will be based at the Sparsholt Campus.
