0.8 FTE, Fixed term for Academic Year 25/26

We are seeking to appoint a motivated and ambitious Teacher of Accounting. The successful candidate will have a strong drive to make a substantial difference to the lives of our students, our college and the wider community. Previous experience teaching Accounting at A-Level is essential for this position.

To join the teaching team at St. Brendan’s you will have a genuine love for teaching and curriculum development. This role calls for an enthusiastic and self-motivated practitioner, with strong organisational skills and the ability to engage both staff and students alike. The successful candidate will be able to proactively contribute to providing exceptional learning experiences for all of our students whilst raising aspirations and improving achievements.

About you

The successful candidate will have…

A relevant Teaching Qualification (e.g. PGCE) and current professional registration;

Experience of teaching (or studying to teach), ideally in a Further Education environment;

A record of outstanding student achievement;

A commitment to Continuous Professional Development (CPD), lifelong learning and willingness to undertake additional training or qualifications if appropriate;

An excellent working knowledge of Teacher Standards and how to apply these in practice; Knowledge of active learning and teaching styles and be able to demonstrate innovative practice; Experience of using a variety of IT and e-learning systems.
