ABOUT THE ROLE

Telford College is set to play a pivotal role in the new hi-tech facilities of Telford’s ‘Station Quarter’, as it plans to launch exciting new opportunities in the state-of-the-art Skills Hub in the heart of Telford town centre. With a planned opening date for September 2024 we are looking for support staff to be based at the hub from June onwards, giving the opportunity to learn more about Telford College before the new academic year. Our Student Services Officer will be key to supporting the student cohort and the colleges new and exciting project.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Efficiently and accurately process, track and monitor all relevant Student Services processes including bursary, enquiries, reception, applications, interviews, admissions, IAG, careers and via Pro Solution, paper base, email or telephone in a timely manner.
  • Be fully conversant with all Student Services processes as outlined above.
  • All duties to be performed and completed in line with the Student Services, Service Level Agreement.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE

Qualifications and training

  • Five Level 2 qualifications including maths and English (GCSE A*-C, or equivalent)
  • Skills and expertise
  • With a diverse cohort of students having excellent interpersonal skills is essential to the role.
  • The nature of the role will require excellent time management of skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure whilst having a diplomatic approach.
