Salary: M1 to UPS 3 plus TLR 2BB (£7308)

What we are looking for:
We are looking for a passionate and inspiring Head of Maths and Computing to join our talented staff at Tewkesbury Academy. The maths department is an inclusive, friendly, energetic and vibrant group and new teachers will quickly feel part of the team. We are a 11-18 school offering a range of courses at KS4 and 5 including GCSE, A Levels and BTEC level 3 qualifications.

Your duties will specifically include:
Planning outstanding lessons that meet the needs of all students whilst developing a high-quality sequenced curriculum
Monitor and report on the progress of students and take appropriate action to ensure all students achieve their potential through exceptional methods of feedback
Meeting the needs of learners from key identified groups, including pupil premium, looked after children, SEND and High Attaining students.
Recognise, value and support the delivery of opportunities which extend beyond the confines of classroom delivery and seek to enrich and add value to the students experience & learning
Empowered to develop your own expert practice and support the development of others

Tewkesbury Academy is a well-established school at the heart of the historic market town of Tewkesbury providing an education to a cohort of 1200 plus students, aged 11-18. We are well placed at Junction 9 of the M5 and close to the Cotswolds, the Malvern Hills and the historic towns of Gloucester, Worcester and Cheltenham.
