Job Location: The De Montfort School (TDMS)

Salary: Scale 5 (12-17) £28,598-£31,022 pro rata (actual salary from £26,484)

About the role:

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented exams officer to join our dynamic secondary school team. This pivotal role ensures the smooth and secure administration of all internal and external examinations, working closely with teaching staff, awarding bodies, and students.

The exams officer will have responsibility for:

• Coordinating and managing all aspects of examination logistics, from timetabling to invigilation

• Ensuring compliance with JCQ and awarding body regulations

• Maintaining accurate student data and entries using school MIS systems

• Liaising with staff, students, and parents regarding examination arrangements and results

• Overseeing secure storage and distribution of exam papers and materials

Our successful candidate will have the following experience, skillset and qualifications:

• Previous experience in exams administration or school office roles

• Strong IT skills and familiarity with Arbor or similar MIS systems

• GCSEs or equivalent in English and maths

• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

• Calm under pressure with a meticulous eye for detail

The post is permanent for 37 hours per week, term time only plus the school training days and an additional 5 days during the summer exam results days. This role reports to the Data and Examinations Manager.
