What we're looking for
We are looking for an inspirational and collaborative Principal to lead Thomas Knyvett College on the next phase of its journey. To be successful, you’ll be an experienced senior secondary leader with an excellent track record. You’ll have a good understanding of what makes a truly great school, particularly in diverse communities with high levels of deprivation. You will be dedicated to achieving excellence in all aspects of school life and be a strategic thinker who can shape and implement our vision, raising standards of achievement for all as a priority. You’ll need to demonstrate the ability to engage, inspire and prioritise excellent relationships with the school and wider community we are so proud to serve.
There is no pre-determined idea about where you might currently be working – you are likely to be a talented Deputy Headteacher looking for your first Headteacher post, but you could also be a serving Headteacher looking for a new challenge. What is most important is that you are a tenacious and humble leader, with relentlessly high expectations, a passion for inclusive education, and a well-honed talent for inspiring students and staff to give their absolute best. Above all, you will be committed to making a positive difference every day, with a clear focus on driving forward school improvement and opportunities for our students.
