The Priory Learning Trust is looking to recruit an inspiring leader of our Maths Faculty at Priory Community School - An Academy. The successful candidate will be central to designing an ambitious curriculum and driving up standards.
You will be joining a large and supportive Maths team that promotes the school’s values of Aspiration, Integrity and Respect.
You will have a clear vision for our mathematics curriculum and work with colleagues to ensure all teaching and learning is of the highest quality. You will be an excellent practitioner and able to lead by example. You will foster inclusivity for all learners, providing a challenging, engaging and innovative learning environment.
The Priory Community School has high expectations for all students, so we require a dedicated and driven leader who can support students to achieve their best.
As part of this role, you will;
- Contribute to the progress and successful implementation of the academy and Departmental Developments Plans with specific responsibility for the Maths department.
- To lead a team of teachers in the delivery of the subject within the department, ensuring high quality learning experiences within the classroom.
- To develop and enhance the teaching practice of teachers in the department.
- To promote the faculty as a subject across the academy.
The successful candidate will have;
- Qualified Teacher Status.
- Relevant teaching experience in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Effective quality control and continuous improvement in all aspects of the work and responsibilities attached to this post.
- Commit to professional self-development, through participation in in-service training as necessary for the successful carrying out of the job.

This role involves working with children on a daily basis and is therefore in regulated activity.
