The Priory Learning Trust is looking to recruit a Learning Mentor to work at our St Anne’s Church Academy. This role will suit a candidate who has a passion for working with children.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who would relish the chance to join this primary academy.
As part of this role, you will;
- Work with classroom teachers to support the learning and assessment of individual pupils or groups as required, (through a range of activities using specific area/s of expertise expected at a Mentor level), and in collaboration with other support workers such as, TAs, LSAs etc.
- To act as an integral part of the school staff team and work closely with the SENCo and Principal to mentor and coach children.
- To champion the personal growth and academic achievement of all Pupil Premium funded children and vulnerable learners and their families.
- Contribute to the school-wide management of behaviour with all children and especially those who, at times, struggle in school.
The successful candidate will have;
- GCSE Grade C or above in English (Literacy) and Maths (Numeracy) or numeracy and literacy skills equivalent to NVQ Level 2.
- Knowledge of relevant Learning & SEN strategies.
- Experience of working with Primary school age children on an individual and group basis in supporting their learning and personal development.
- The ability to work with individual children and families to set goals jointly as part of planning for their learning and development.

This role involves working with children on a daily basis and is therefore in regulated activity.
