BIOLOGY TECHNICIAN

FULL-TIME, 36 HOURS PER WEEK (MONDAY TO FRIDAY)

TERM TIME ONLY

£19,200 PA TO £20,650 DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE (ACTUAL ANNUAL SALARY)

REQUIRED FOR SEPTEMBER 2021 START

Are you looking for a new challenge in a welcoming environment? We are looking for an enthusiastic, extremely well organised Biology technician to join a team of three technicians supporting the science departments. While you will be primarily supporting Biology lessons for older students (Years 10, 11, 12 and 13), you may, on occasion also support science lessons for younger students.

The current team of technicians are very experienced and supportive – they are proactive and well organised. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a ‘can-do’ attitude and be keen to work as part of this team.

Biology is one of our most popular A level subjects and this is a busy role. It involves preparation for practicals while keeping on top of general ‘housekeeping’, washing up and clearing glassware and other equipment to ensure classrooms and laboratories are always ready for teaching.

Experience in laboratory preparation work, particularly in the field of Biology, would be helpful, while good communication skills and a methodical approach are essential.

For further details and a downloadable application form please see our web site or contact the school office. Only candidates who have completed the application form will be considered.

CLOSING DATE: Monday 28 June 2021

Please return the application form to our HR Department.

The Tiffin Girls’ School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring (criminal record) check.
