Fundraising Development Manager (events and marketing)


Salary based on experience, ranging from £38,800 - £44,700 pa for full year, full time working.

The school may consider flexible working arrangements where possible (eg reduced hours, or a reduced working arrangement outside of term time)

A new and exciting opportunity to lead on fundraising in education at one of the highest achieving state secondary schools in the country.

This is a crucial role to enable the school to develop and grow, making a real difference for over 1200 students within a unique and very special school community with a high ethnic student representation.

The school already benefits greatly from both fabulous parental support and a hugely influential and passionate alumnae. The Development Manager will be expected to build on that energy and commitment, seeking to persuade, engage and cultivate new and interested donors within and outside of the school’s immediate community.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and committed individual who has the experience, skills, attributes and dynamism to make a success of fundraising in the state sector. They will work closely with the Headteacher and the Governors in delivering on the school’s fundraising strategy, securing support from all stakeholder groups.

To be successful, you will need to:

• ideally have experience of successful professional fundraising;

• have experience in successfully liaising with external stakeholders at all levels in a professional manner;

• have knowledge of and experience in using a wide range of fundraising strategies;

• have experience of planning and managing events, both large and small scale;

• have successfully delivered marketing campaigns to increase engagement and take up;

• demonstrate the ability to build and manage effective relationships; and

• demonstrate a creative and imaginative approach to problem solving.
