Sports Lead required for Parson Street Primary School
Hours: 23 hours and 20 minutes per week (Mon – Friday 12:00 noon – 4.40pm)
Salary: BG8 £24,948 - £26,845 (Actual salary - £13,756 - £14,802)
Contract: Fixed Term Contract (due to funding), Term Time only plus inset days.
Start Date: September 2023
Parson Street Primary School are seeking an energetic, motivated and outstanding sports lead to join their team. This is a part-time (12:00 noon - 4:40pm) role (where some overtime will be required for competitions).
The role of School Sports Lead is varied and dynamic and requires someone who has the ability to work in different environments and teach a range of traditional and non-traditional sports to children aged 4-11 years. The role would be leading lunchtime play leaders, teaching PE sessions, running lunch-time and after-school sports clubs, assisting pupils at sport competitions off site.
The successful applicant will:
- Have at least one level 3 or equivalent sports coaching qualification.
- Have at least 2 years experience of working with children.
- Have experience of leading groups of children to achieve successful outcomes
It is desirable that the applicant will:
- Have a number of coaching qualifications across a range of sports.
- Hold a paediatric first aid qualification.
- Hold a current swim coaching or lifeguard qualification
Most importantly, we are looking for someone who will have the desire to learn and fit in with the Parson Street Primary team.
