Are you an experienced Registered Adult Nurse looking for a new challenge? Passionate about education and ready to help shape the future nursing workforce in Cornwall?

We’re one of the UK’s top-performing colleges and proud to be recognised nationally for our higher education and apprenticeship provision. Our Nursing and Allied Health Department delivers high quality programmes from Level 3 to Level 6, and we’re now seeking a Lecturer to join the team at University Centre Truro & Penwith College.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about teaching, curriculum development and research informed practice. Even if you’re new to teaching, don’t worry — we’ll support you with the training and development needed to grow into the role.

You’ll primarily teach on the BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing programme, but there will also be opportunities to contribute across a wider range of qualifications, including:

• FdSc Nursing Associate

• BSc (Hons) Mental Health Nursing

• BSc (Hons) Operating Department Practitioner

• Access to HE: Nursing and Human Sciences

Teaching is delivered primarily face-to-face at our Truro campus (the designated base for this post), with an emphasis on simulation, clinical application, and building confident, capable, practice-ready graduates. There may also be a requirement to deliver teaching at our Bodmin campus where operationally required.

Why consider a career in teaching at University Centre Truro & Penwith?

• Inspire and shape the next generation of nurses

• Enjoy a balanced working pattern with excellent annual leave

• Access professional development and scholarly activity opportunities

• Work in a supportive department with outstanding facilities

• Contribute to high impact programmes delivered in partnership with the NHS

We’re looking for someone who is:

• A Registered Adult Nurse (NMC) with at least two years’ post registration experience

• Passionate about high quality, research informed teaching

• Committed to supporting learners in both academic and clinical settings

• Able to work collaboratively with colleagues and practice partners

• Enthusiastic, student focused and ready to contribute to curriculum and quality enhancement

If you're excited to make a difference and want to help develop the future nursing workforce in Cornwall, we’d love to hear from you.

*Salary as advertised is based on a qualified lecturer. Non-qualified applicants will be considered but will be paid on a non-qualified lecturer scale.

We offer a generous package with benefits including 40 days (pro rata) annual leave plus bank holidays and College closure days, teacher pension scheme, relocation package, free on-site parking and a variety of on-site benefits and discounts.
