United Colleges Group, formed in 2017, has continued to provide strong education and skills support to the c16,000 learners who we serve every year. We have around 1,000 dedicated, skilled and enthusiastic staff who always put the needs of our students first and we are looking for a number of Curriculum Managers to join our cohort of dedicated staff.

Based across five sites in central and north London we have invested strongly in technology to support our learning, which led to a seamless transfer to online learning for our students when college campuses were forced to close earlier this year, and very positive feedback from our students about their online learning experience. Our very robust finances (rated as ‘Outstanding’ by the Education & Skills Funding Agency) mean that we are well set up to continue to invest more to meet the needs of those students in the future.

Embracing pedagogical and technological developments means that we can meet the needs of our students by offering a model of both face to face and remote learning that also fulfils their expectations. ‘Physically separate, virtually together’ will be a mantra that underpins our strategy – reflecting the fact that every one of our students should feel part of our wider learning community, wherever they are based and however they are undertaking that learning.

To help support this strategy and ensure that we improve our OFSTED rating UCG have recently reviewed its leadership and management to better reflect our aspirations around the world of work by creating a series of Career Clusters and a Development & Innovation area led by 8 newly appointed Assistant Principals.

We are now looking to invest further in our leadership and management and are now advertising for additional Curriculum Management to support the Assistant Principal roles and lead the transformational change that we believe is required to meet the changing needs of our students in the following areas:
•    ESOL

Job Ref: 328

With this opportunity, UCG offers generous annual leave, a defined-benefit pension scheme, an interest-free season ticket loan, cycle scheme, free sight tests, enhanced maternity and paternity leave schemes and many other benefits.

If you are ready to join a Group that has the resources to develop the talents of both students and staff, you can find more information on this role and details on how to apply by visiting the “Work With Us” section on our website.
UCG is an equal opportunities employer and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff to share this commitment.  Successful applicants will be subject to full-vetting procedures including an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services Check.

We very much hope that you will consider joining us on this transformational journey as we aim to improve the life chances of all our students whilst being an active member of our local and pan London community.

Closing date: 12 noon, Monday 8th March 2021.
