The Group- only 3 years old since it was formed from the merger of two existing London based colleges in 2017- has a combined turnover of c£50m, and has the ambitions and strength to create a lasting difference in the local communities it serves, and beyond.
We are now seeking to appoint an outstanding Senior Leader to help us continue on our journey of improvement and to help us achieve our ambitions.


As the Vice Principal for Curriculum Planning, Development and Quality Enhancement, you will be a key member of the College's Group Operational Team (GOT), reporting directly to the Group Principal/Deputy CEO. The Vice Principal will be expected to contribute to the strategic, operational management, development and performance of all aspects of College Operations.


The Vice Principal for Curriculum Planning, Development and Quality Enhancement will lead and deliver the strategy with regard to curriculum design and delivery, ensuring the Group’s curriculum offer meets and is highly responsive to learner, employer and community needs. You will also ensure that teaching, learning and assessment meet the highest standards across the Group, delivering an exceptional student experience and leading to the highest rates of learner success, satisfaction and positive progression.


The Vice Principal for Curriculum Planning, Development and Quality Enhancement will have a demonstrable track record of managing at a strategic senior leadership level in a Further Education setting, including successful financial oversight and effective stakeholder engagement at a strategic level. The successful applicant will have an excellent understanding of curriculum development and achieving high standards of innovation and delivery in teaching and learning and will have developed a strong understanding of the policy context for education with a firm grasp of the issues facing the sector, such as the 14-19 agenda, employer engagement and funding issues. 


The Vice Principal will have experience initiating and managing significant cultural change with a track record of shaping the leadership team to achieve planned outcomes and motivating, developing and managing the performance of effective, multi-disciplinary teams. The successful applicant will have the ability to manage complex projects and have the credibility to lead the college and inspire people to think and act innovatively and challenge established ways of doing things.
