We are seeking enthusiastic and caring individuals to provide support for learners with Profound and Multiple learning difficulties. This role will involve supporting students to integrate into the College, encouraging them towards independence and supporting them with personal care, feeding and medication. You would be based at Uxbridge Campus or at our new SEND centre, Barra Hall, in Hayes.
We are seeking individuals with experience of working with young people, and experience of supporting people with learning difficulties/disabilities. You should be trained in manual handling and administering medication or will be willing to undertake training in these areas. You will be able to work effectively as part of a team and be able to motivate and support young people.
The working pattern for these posts will be 8.45am - 4.30pm with a 30-minute lunch break each day. We can offer full-time hours (36 per week), or part-time hours at 4 days (28.8 hours per week). The work location could be Barra Hall, Hayes or Uxbridge Campus.
Please note: for individuals who start a term time only role after 1st September, the salary will be pro-rated from the start date to the end of this academic year (31st August 2027). This ensures that the correct entitlement to pay and holiday pay relative to the portion of the year worked. This will be paid in equal monthly instalments until 31 August. The salary will revert to the normal arrangements as stated in the advert at the start of the following academic year.
