Waverley Education Foundation (WEF) is a Multi Academy Trust educating approximately 2,000 pupils across Waverley School and Waverley Studio College. The Trust is committed to delivering high-quality education, leadership development, and services that improve outcomes for children and young people.

Opened in September 2013, Waverley Studio College educates students in Key Stages 4 and 5, with up to 75 students per year group and capacity for 300 students. The college specialises in Health, Creative Technology, and Enterprise, offering a distinctive curriculum enriched by programmes that develop students’ character, employability skills, and aspirations. Our core values of Humanity, Equality, Aspiration and Respect support our vision to create a learning community where we work together to achieve excellence in everything we do.

In the September 2022 Ofsted inspection, the college retained its Good judgement. Inspectors noted that “pupils behave well in lessons and around school and get on well together”.

We are seeking to appoint an ambitious, talented, and inspirational Assistant Principal to join our Senior Leadership Team. This is a newly created role offering an exciting opportunity to shape the next stage of improvement and growth. Responsibilities will be tailored to the strengths and experience of the successful candidate.

We believe that this role will appeal to ambitious, talented and experienced colleagues who can bring inspirational leadership to our Senior Leadership Team and contribute towards the school improvement process.

We are looking for someone who will:

· Promote and deliver excellent standards of teaching and learning.

· Is a strategic thinker and able to lead on key areas of school improvement.

· Foster positive relationships with students, staff, parents and the local community.

The successful candidate will need to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post and will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
