Do you want to work in a supportive environment where your skills and contributions are valued?

Join us!

We are looking to appoint a highly skilled, organised and motivated individual to an exciting position within two established and already very successful pastoral teams across Wellsway School and IKB Academy.

Applications are welcomed from those with experience in working in an educational setting and with a proven track record of success in terms of making an impact on school culture and improving student behaviour in both schools.

You will need to be committed to our vision of becoming an outstanding school and have a passion for pastoral care; driving forward the school culture and working alongside colleagues to ensure all students meet our high standards for behaviour.

Duties will include ensuring behaviour systems and processes are implemented consistently and effectively, to work closely with Pastoral staff to produce and review behaviour plans, act as Line Manager for the Reset Room and ensure that day to day processes are followed, to prioritise and action serious incident referrals and to manage the detention systems for both schools.

This new role provides an exciting opportunity to help shape the provision for behaviour and attitudes in both Wellsway School and IKB Academy whilst benefiting from working with practitioners across the Futura Learning Partnership to share best practice and resources.

If you are able to form positive relationships with students, staff and parents/carers and are confident to play a key role within the development of pastoral provision, we would love to hear from you.

As a Behaviour Manager, you will be responsible for:

Providing a consistent, effective and visible behaviour management presence around the school day, including during unstructured time, acting as a role model for staff and students.

Maintaining and managing the behaviour systems/processes to ensure readiness for the next day.

Contributing to the creation and review of behaviour plans for key students in collaboration with behaviour, safeguarding and inclusion teams.

Providing proactive and positive behaviour support for key students, including individual support, small group work, classroom support, and organising interventions such as mentoring.

Facilitating the daily running of the Reset/Referral Room, ensuring continuity of staffing and promoting restorative practice.

Acting as Line Manager for the Reset Room Supervisor and ensuring behaviour tracking is current and communicated.

Supporting strategies to reduce suspensions, managing detention systems, and assisting with PEX and suspension paperwork.

Liaising with parents, carers, external agencies, and attending reintegration meetings.

Upholding safeguarding and data protection responsibilities at all times.
