We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lecturer in Engineering to join our supportive team. You will play a key role in helping our students build essential skills, gain qualifications, and progress in their academic journey.
The ideal candidate will have proven industry experience in manufacturing / mechanical engineering, with experience in delivering education or training in a workshop or classroom environment. However, full teacher training can be provided for anyone who is new to teaching.
This role involves delivering theory and practical topics across the Level 2 and 3 Engineering curriculum, including subject areas such as Engineering Product Design and Manufacture, CNC, Manufacturing/Secondary Machining as well as expressing your hand-fitting specialisations/industrial experience with the next generation of engineers. We would welcome applications from individuals with experience of any of the following specialisms – manufacturing engineering, CNC, milling & turning, design engineering, linked to extolling departmental curriculum flexibility.
You will hold a vocational qualification at Level 3 or above, GCSE in English and Maths as well as a relevant teaching qualification and assessors award, or be willing to work towards.

The Teach in Further Education government initiative gives you the chance of qualifying to receive an extra payment of up to £6,000 per year, plus a pre-service bursary while completing an approved FE initial teacher education qualification.

Salary: up to £40,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
