Warrington & Vale Royal College is seeking to appoint a full-time permanent Lecturer in Esports.
Our Games department has grown substantially over the past 5 years, and we are now very excited to be running our first ever qualification in Esports. The team is very passionate and supportive for this new venture and growth, and is looking for the next addition to join our fantastic team.

The Esports course includes units on Business, Sport, and Media, so we are looking for a candidate who has experience in both Esports and Gaming, but is also qualified to deliver these units.
Candidates will also have experience in competitive gaming, broadcasting software, such as OBS, and experience of streaming sites such as YouTube and Twitch. They will have detailed knowledge of the esports industry, including professional bodies such as the British Esports Federation and competitive gaming tournament structure. Both staff and students must be aware that the British Esports Student champs league is a mandatory part of the course, and will be expected to represent the college at tournament level.
Suitable candidates will have a sound knowledge of business, entrepreneurship and competitive gaming. They will also have broad knowledge of digital sports and with a solid understanding of management practices within the Esports industry. They should also be aware of marketing and social media platforms such as twitch, reddit, YouTube and Facebook as promotional tools with an understanding of marketing a brand. Candidates should have a recognised teaching qualification and a degree in a related subject.

Please note, our Lecturer main and upper pay scale is £24,913 to £38,732, with further incremental points for subject leader/additional responsibility.
