St Alban’s Catholic Primary School (East Molesey) currently has an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team, providing key SEN support within the classroom on a 1:1 basis and working closely with other teaching staff to ensure provision is effective and that learning needs are met.
Contract: Term Time Only
Contracted Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 3.30pm, total of 32 hours 30 mins per week, 39 weeks per year
Salary Scale: PS3 £23,576 FTE, actual/pro rata salary £18,311.75 pa
The successful candidate will:
- have experience of supporting pupils with SEN and utilising strategies to manage behaviours and meet needs, including supporting speech and language
- have awareness of Child Safeguarding and the latest SEN policies to implement effective provision, including working with outside agencies to deliver EHCP provisions
- be compassionate and dedicated to provide one-on-one support to a student with EHCPs
- have the ability to work as part of the team as well as through their initiative
- make a notable impact on the quality of learning in a lesson
- be flexible, adaptable, patient and be a good team player
- possess good literacy and numeracy skills
- maintain confidentiality inside and outside of the school
