Due to an increase in popularity in our Health & Social Care courses we are looking for new Health & Social Care Lecturers to join the Yeovil College team! We are looking for both existing lecturers/teachers as well as those with no current teaching experience but hold significant industry specific knowledge and experience within the Health & Social care sector who feel passionate about passing on their skills and knowledge. 

The role of a Health & Social Care lecturer will involve teaching on Health and Social Care programmes across levels 1, 2, and 3 providing an outstanding service to learners, staff and other stakeholders. Actively engaging in developing and promoting the departments operational plan, achieving the College strategic aims and development plans while actively promoting equality, diversity and fundamental British Values in all aspects of the role.

There are a few essential requirements for this role that you must be able to demonstrate, these include:

  • At least 2 year’s industry or vocationally relevant teaching/training experience. 
  • Relevant degree.
  • English & Maths, GCSE grade C or equivalent.
  • Teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards).
  • Passionate about teaching and learning.
  • Proven ability to create and maintain appropriate work systems.
  • Well organised, systematic approach to work.
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team.
  • Able to use your initiative.

Salary: £24,495 – £29,820 FTE dependent on experience & teaching qualifications

Full time or Substantial part time considered. Full time hours - 37 hours per week. 

Candidates must be available all year round.
