LECTURER IN GASHours: 37 per weekSalary: Up to £23,311 per annum (unqualified teacher status) Up to £34,229 per annum (qualified teacher status) Closing Date: 1st August 2018Eastleigh College is looking for a lecturer to join the Technology Division and teach / assess within the Gas Assessment Centre. This role will require excellent communication and organisational skills, coupled with excellent gas industry experienceSubjects covered within the Gas Centre include: Core Gas Safety - combustion, gas pipe work, tightness testing and purging, flue systems recognition and testing, ventilation, gas controls, flue gas analysis, the full range of Domestic NG ACS elements, LPG and Central HeatingThe successful candidate will teach students in the 16-19 and 19+age group who are undertaking courses and Apprenticeships as well as training and assessing fully qualified gas safe registered engineers looking to renew their ACS qualifications or extend their range of qualifications heldWe are looking for a lecturer who is an experienced gas fitting operative with a teaching qualification (Cert Ed, PGCE or equivalent), however full training can be offered to achieve qualified teacher status.
