About the role
We are looking for an Assessor to join our Hospitality and Catering team in our Retail and Business Faculty.

As an Assessor, you will provide work based assessment, guidance and portfolio building support to Work Based Learning College learners, encouraging employers to provide the necessary training, work experience, supervision and the prospect of employment for learners.

You will provide teaching, demonstration, instruction, assessment, guidance and curriculum development following a variety of modes and levels of study, undertaking pastoral care of learners as appropriate.

You will also liaise with referral agencies and actively market to employers to ensure maximum learner numbers, and with staff/employers to monitor learner progress.

The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 qualification or equivalent, Assessor Award (A1) or TAQA and experience within relevant Domestic and Commercial settings with experience and knowledge of assessing L3 qualifications. It is essential that you have in-depth knowledge of the hospitality and catering industry as well as experience in employer liaison. You will also need to hold a teaching qualification at L5 or above or complete the qualification on appointment. Level 2 English and Maths is required.
