With new facilities and growing student numbers there has never been a more exciting time to join the team at Oaklands College.

Oaklands College is well established as one of the most successful and progressive Further Education Colleges in Hertfordshire and the South East and we are looking for a new team member to support students and employers and help drive the College forward.

In return for a competitive salary and excellent benefits we are looking to recruit an ambitious and high performing Senior Assessor who is ready to help Oaklands College continue to grow its well established Health & Social Care provision. The health and social care provision at Oaklands offers courses through to Level 5.

Do you want to help individuals develop skills and knowledge through the completion of sector based qualifications ranging from L2 to the Higher Apprenticeship in Care Management L5 and enhance their careers? Are you looking for a career where you can pass on your knowledge and expertise to help people succeed in their career?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-driven Health and Social Care Senior Assessor to be a part of our successful Enterprise team. You will increase the opportunities for those working in the Health & Social Care sector to develop themselves from carers undertaking a L2 qualification through to those in a Care Management role able to achieve a recognise Level 5 qualification.

The role will primarily focus on supporting our students in the workplace and within the college environment through to the completion of their course. It will involve design and delivery of course materials and conducting quality assurance activities including standardisation meetings and EQA visits.

You should have a strong background in health and social care and be qualified to a minimum of Level 3 within Health and Social Care, having held a position of Care Manager. You should have recent and relevant experience and undertaken CPD activities to maintain both knowledge and skills in up to date practices and legislation.

You must hold an Assessor qualification and be a qualified and experienced IQA although we will consider applications with relevant experience. It is also desirable for you to hold a teaching qualification such as PTLLLs, DTLLLs, Cert-Ed or PGCE.

Due to the nature of the role you will be required to travel between various sites and employers in the Hertfordshire region; standard mileage rates will be paid.

Closing date: Sunday 29th January
Interview date: To be confirmed
