POST REF: JOB TITLE: Floristry Technician (part time)SALARY: £18,354 - £20,055 (pro rota) TechnicianWe are looking for a Floristry Technician who is able to work on a flexible basis for an average of 12 hours per week (FTE) usually between 8.30am – 5pm. The Post will include some Seasonal weekend and Bank Holiday work to provide care and monitoring of live plant material to ensure the resources are maintained to support teaching and assessment.Duties will include assisting in learning sessions with Floristry students,Ordering resources, sourcing and collection of live plant materials, maintaining the Floristry garden and resources to enable the Floristry area to operate efficiently. Monitoring student activity within the Floristry workshop / garden ensuring PPE regulations and Industry Safety Standards are imposed.You will be working with Floristry staff to set up and deliver practical work for students who are studying City and Guilds Floristry level 1 and 2.You will have previous experience in working in the Floristry sector and enjoy working with 16-18 year old and adult students. Level 2 qualifications in English, Maths and Floristry are essential.This post is Permanent.Closing date: 25th January 2017Interviews: 8th February 2017
