SpLD Assessor & Coordinator 0.8 FTE (Tower Hamlets Campus)
£26,361 - £40,788 per annum (full time equivalent)
We are looking for a well-qualified and experienced SpLD Assessor & Coordinator to join our friendly ALS team. You will enable students to participate fully in their courses by providing screening, diagnosis and ongoing academic support. As well as teaching one-to one and small group sessions, you’ll work with academic staff to promote awareness and improve practice. Ideally you will be experienced in working with both adults and young people in a variety of settings.
You will be responsible for the co-ordination and development of a user-led service for learners with SpLD. In addition, you will task manage a team of specialist tutors across the college and be responsible for organising and delivering training to staff.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, innovative and have experience of assessing, teaching and supporting SpLD student across the college. As a member of the Additional Learning Support Team you will be responsible for assessing, supporting and teaching students with a range of Additional Learning Needs. You will have a level 7 SpLD qualification and current Assessment Practicing Certificate (APC); ideally you will also have a teaching certificate.
