In February 2019 Coulsdon Sixth Form College merged with Croydon College into one new organisation. The merger brings together two good colleges (by OFSTED in 2018) which will allow the college to reinforce our collective ambition to deliver excellent education for the communities of Croydon and beyond.
We are seeking to recruit an Admissions Officer whose role would involve interacting with prospective and current students on a daily basis. You will answer enquiries from prospective students applying to the College and provide information about; courses, fees and entry requirements. Working in line with College policies you will assess applications, verify supporting documents, interview applicants and issue offers accordingly.
Enrolment of new and returning students and providing general support/advice will be a large part of your role. You will be responsible for liaising with curriculum managers on induction activities for new students and will assist with re-engagement meetings and attendance issues where necessary. You will provide one-to-one support to assist students
This post involves working in a demanding customer service environment dealing with a range of students who are enrolled on a range of courses across the College.
Therefore you must have experience of working in an administration role in an educational environment. This experience should ideally be gained working in an admissions or similar customer service role. You must also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work accurately and efficiently, producing highly accurate documentation in a fast-paced environment, is essential
A qualification in Business Administration or other relevant qualification is also required.
