The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Animal Care Technician to join our friendly team. This role will involve maintaining the welfare of the College’s Animal Care courses’ animals.
In this role as an Animal Care Technician, you'll be responsible for caring for all the animals at weekends and during the holiday periods ensuring the highest standards of care and welfare are met.
The post will involve cleaning cages, pens, trays, equipment and fittings to keep animals clean and comfortable, as well as feeding and watering the animals and handling them safely.
As this role is during weekends and holidays the successful candidate will be working for periods of time on their own as a lone worker, with key holder responsibility for ensuring the animal area is secure.
Experience/Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Animal Care or a related subject.
