Due to growth of our apprenticeships and employer-facing provision, the Business First department within the College has an exciting vacancy that will enable the College to continue to be a lead provider in the area and to maintain its excellent high quality provision.
Working closely with tutors and assessors, you will liaise with employers and learners to place apprentices on programmes within the College. You will work with them to monitor their progress on programme, ensure they are fully supported on their programmes and achieve their potential. You will be highly organised, able to juggle caseloads and have strong communication skills.
Key roles include:
Ensure adherence to the Work Based Learning contract as agreed between Swindon College, the National Apprenticeship Service and the Skills Funding Agency.
Work with the Employer Engagement Team to respond to enquiries or requests for information from local businesses and potential learners, providing guidance and information on the appropriate apprenticeship programme.
Oversee and monitor a caseload of learners, working with assessors and tutors to maximise achievement and address any learners who are at risk.
At the start of the programme, work with the Assessor to sign up the learner and co-ordinate Individual Apprenticeship Learning Plans and Training Agreements. Ensure that all parties are aware of the requirements and complexities of the apprenticeship.
It is essential you have experience of working in a college environment and engaging with learners/apprentices. Please refer to the person spec within the job description for the full list. It is also essential to hold Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) in English and Maths (or the commitment to gain within 24 months)
