Art & Design Lecturer: Maternity Cover
(Part-time, all year round, fixed term to October 2021 with possibility of extending)
We are an ambitious, forward looking college with high aspirations for our learners. We are looking to appoint a Creative Arts Lecturer (Art & Design Specialist) to lead and teach across our Art & Design Level 2 and 3 study programmes at BCA.
The Successful applicant will have the ability to deliver a range of practical art disciplines and theories, including textiles, print-making, mixed-media, and 3D or graphic design, and will have a collaborative approach to working with other Creative Arts staff and students. Applicants should have good availability and experience of working with Level 2 and Level 3 vocational learners.
We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and versatile lecturer with a proven track record in Art and Design at FE level.
Responsibilities will include planning, teaching and assessing students. You should have a relevant qualification and experience of teaching in a classroom setting is desirable. We are looking for an adaptable, resourceful excellent communicator, who will be able to work as part of a team and have strong IT skills.
The hours for this role are 22.2 hours per week, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 8.30am - 5.00pm.
