Bank of Lecturing Staff
Telford College is looking to establish an in-house temporary bank of lecturing staff to provide cover at short notice to support our experienced lecturing staff for our 2019/2020 academic year.
Whether you are an NQT or experienced teacher, we are looking to establish a bank of supply lecturers who can cover teaching needs across the curriculum areas within the College; Business Management and Digital, Creative and Music, Maths and English, Sport and Public Services, Catering, Hair and Beauty, Health, Early Years and Childcare, Engineering, Automotive and Construction, Foundation Learning and the college’s A level provision with our 7th Form.
There is no guarantee of a set number of hours being available; the hours of work will vary depending on the short or long term requirements. However, due to the nature of the work the ability to offer a flexible approach to availability is essential as you will be requested to work at short notice.
A scheme of work is in place within each curriculum area, however, depending on the length of the cover required you will be required to undertake some planning, marking and preparation for the classes you are responsible for teaching.
Successful candidates ideally must hold a teaching qualification, however consideration will be given to candidates without a teaching qualification who can demonstrate a strong occupational history and competence within their specialist vocational area.
