About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic member of staff to join our hospitality team. We are keen to continue our visits and to engage in any activities which students can benefit from outside the immediate demands of the curriculum as well as working with local and national employers to promote our Employability Agenda with our students.
You will be responsible for teaching and developing a range of Professional Cookery courses from Level 1-3 and be responsible for course leadership duties.

In this role, you will:
- To deliver high quality teaching and learning by providing students with a planned learning experience, managing the learning process, guiding and supporting students.
- To provide assignment and assessment material appropriate to each specific programme.
- To evaluate, assess and feedback to students in a timely manner in adherence to the awarding body and college quality criteria.
- To produce schemes of work and lesson plans in accordance with current best practice.
- To set and assess work and provide opportunities for engaging student feedback.
Qualifications and experience required:
- Minimum Level 2 qualification in Maths and English
- Teaching qualification at Level 5 e.g. Certificate in Education, or commitment to gaining within the timescales laid out by the college
- Minimum Level 3 Professional Cookery qualifications
- Some experience of teaching, training peers or transferring skills to others, e.g. training, coaching, mentoring
- An understanding of current developments in related field
- Up to date working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook
