Hopwood Hall College is looking to appoint a highly organised and self-motivating Clerk to the Governors to work flexibly across the college year, build on the quality of current support and to drive forward continuous improvement in governance. The Clerk is accountable to the governing body working effectively with the Chair of Governors, Principal, the Governing Body and Senior Leadership Team.
The clerk to the governors will ensure the smooth running of the governing body providing excellent administrative support, they must have excellent communication, organisational and IT skills.
The Clerk will be responsible for organising and documenting the full governor meetings and range of sub-committees. The Clerk will be expected to provide support and professional advice to the Governors, Principal and, Senior Leaders across a range of developments in the FE sector and governance.
Experience of working in a Further Education establishment is desirable and knowledge of Governance regulations and Charity law would be an advantage.
This role is on a self-employed contractual basis with a start date to be by negotiation.
