We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Assessor in Computing/IT to work within our growing assessment team; supporting students through their apprenticeship journey. The post holder will provide an outstanding student experience through work based teaching, learning and assessment, enabling students to maximise their potential. Within this role your main responsibilities will include maintaining effective partnerships with employers and their learners and curriculum teams, carrying out regular monitoring of learner environments and ensuring compliance with the college and other authorities with respect to policy and procedure associate with teaching, learning and assessment. You will also be expected to motivate learners to produce evidence required and achieve qualifications in a timely fashion by the agreed end date, ensure that learning environments are safe and that learner start, review and completion paperwork is completed in an accurate and timely manner.
The successful candidate will hold relevant professional Computing/IT qualifications such as CompTia, Cisco, Microsoft and / or have substantial experience in the Computing industry. You will hold an Assessor qualification or will be willing to work towards this through our Staff Development scheme. With an enthusiastic and engaging approach you will have the ability to motivate students and support them to achieve their potential and you should have experience of motivating and supporting young people aged 16-25.
