TECHNICIAN – CONSTRUCTION
(Fixed Term Contract To 30 July 2021)
Hours: 18.5 per week
Salary: £21,440.77 to £28,790.01 (full time equivalent) per annum (assessed on qualifications and experience)
Location: The post holder will be required to work flexibly across all campuses, according to department needs.
Are you an experienced technician who is confident in delivering practical sessions across a range of disciplines including Multi trades, Brickwork, Carpentry and Electrical Installations?
If this is you, then we have an exciting opportunity for you at Brooklands College.
The role of Technician is known as Facilitator within the College and plays a pivotal role within the Construction Team. As well as delivering practical sessions, you will provide technical support to teachers and students, whilst ensuring a high quality and safe environment that enhances the learning experience.
The successful candidate will have:-
• the desire to work with adults and young people
• relevant industrial experience and an understanding of the skills required for the future workforce
• practical construction workshop experience, including maintenance and repair,
• sound knowledge of health and safety
• Level 2 or equivalent in Maths & English
• First Aid at Work qualification or the willingness to qualify
