In February 2019, Lambeth 'The Careers College' joined the London South Bank University (LSBU) 'family' of education institutions in a pioneering move designed to enhance Lambeth College's offer and create greater access to education for all across South London.
In 2021, the College will be opening its newly renovated flagship site in Vauxhall where the Maths & English curriculums will be based and will contribute to the site becoming a centre of excellence.
The Faculty of English and Maths are looking to appoint a 0.5 Curriculum Manager to work as a job share, with the remaining 0.5 as a Maths Lecturer. The total full time role will comprise 18 hrs teaching per week, along with management duties to drive forward the department, this would include plan, organise, co-ordinate programmes and line manage staff in line with the college's strategic priorities and to deliver an excellent learner experience.
The successful candidate must have experience of planning and developing curriculum programmes within their subject discipline, with good communication and organisational skills. Teaching experience is also required, together with evidence of continuous professional development.
A degree, or equivalent professional qualification, is required for this post, as well as a recognised teaching qualification (Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS) or equivalent) with Level 5 subject specialism in Maths. A Literacy/English, ICT and a Numeracy/Maths qualification at Level 2 are also required.
