Delivery Tutor (ESF NEET Get Ahead Project)
Actual Annual Salary: £20,198 pa
FTE Salary: £24,912 pa
Contract Details: 30 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. Fixed Term contract from 2nd September 2019 to 31st July 2021
Start Date: 2nd September 2019
This is a fixed term contract aligned directly to the funding for the NEET Get Ahead project, which will commence on 2nd September 2019 and end on 31st July 2021. The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 10am to 4pm with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break.
We are looking for someone to deliver programmes in a practical and exciting way to our learners on this programme. We would expect you to engage and retain hard to reach young people or those with low aspirations. The main aim of this role is to work with small groups of young people aged between 15 and 25 with the aim of getting them either into or back into employment, education or training.
1. Provide 1:1 support to an allocated caseload of tutees.
2. Provide group tutorial input to allocated tutees.
3. Proactively engage in the Partnership of Support by acting as the first port of call for parents/carers of allocated tutees and the intermediary between them and other College staff.
4. Monitor tutee attendance, punctuality, retention and achievement in subjects and other areas.
5. Support tutee progression by development of their skills and oversight of employment or higher education applications and destinations.
6. Make and support appropriate referrals to Student Services and outside specialist agencies

It is essential that you hold a Level 5 Teaching qualification (or be on a teaching programme), together with a Level 2 or higher qualification in English and Maths. You are also required to hold a Level 2 qualification in ICT.
We would expect you to have knowledge of safeguarding young people and vulnerable adults and have experience of working with young people in educational or other settings.

Please note an enhanced DBS will be required for this role. The successful candidate is required to meet the payment of this DBS check which is currently £44.
