We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Head of Department to join our Engineering department based at our Chippenham campus.
The main purpose of this role is to play a key role in supporting the Head of Department whilst ensuring that teaching staff are directed and supported with resources to provide a high-quality provision. Within this role your main responsibilities will include coordinating and monitoring the work of the campus delivery team and assisting with the development of the curriculum strategy to ensure continuous improvement in the quality of teaching, learning and assessment.
The successful candidate will have worked within a similar role previously, will be a qualified teacher and will have substantial teaching experience from within an appropriate subject area. You will have an excellent teaching grade profile along with experience of professional practice and course/curriculum development. You will possess excellent organisational skills and the ability to implement new systems of working. It is essential that you have knowledge and understanding with a post 16 environment and that you are student focussed and strive for constant improvement in the student experience.
