DEPUTY DESIGNATED SAFEGUARDING LEAD
(Fixed term contract to 31 March 2021)
Salary: £26,351.41 per annum (FTE) (term time only - 42 weeks per year)
Hours: 20 per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) to work closely with the Safeguarding & Prevent Lead (DSL) and Safeguarding team to support the College in its commitment to the protection of all students.
As DDSL you will provide advice on safeguarding matters and act as the College’s Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL), taking the lead in the absence of the DSL. Working across our Ashford and Weybridge sites, the successful candidate will ensure that the College complies with related legislation and guidance.
To be successful you will have:-
• An in-depth understanding of the safeguarding issues which could impact college students including the PREVENT duty
• Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) qualification and other Safeguarding qualifications/training certificates or relevant experience.
• Experience of managing Safeguarding issues in an organisation
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
