Due to the rapid growth of the school an exciting opportunity has arisen at CWCHS as a part time DT Technician: Resistant Materials, Construction and Engineering.
Cardiff West Community High School is a vibrant, diverse and inclusive community school in the West of Cardiff. The school opened in September 2017 and we moved into an all-purpose new school site in April 2019.
We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic individual to work within our busy DT Department.
The successful candidate will be able to provide reliable and flexible support. You should be able to demonstrate excellent skills when working within a school workshop and with young learners. The successful candidate will need to have good interpersonal skills, be confident, well-organised and innovative.
Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
This salary is subject to the Living Wage supplement which brings pay rates up to £9.90 per hour (scp 1&3). This supplement will be reviewed in April 2023 and thereafter annually in April. Cardiff Council reserves the right to make any changes to, or removal of, the Living Wage supplement.
