We have a vacancy as a Lecturer of Economics and Business Studies on a 0.70 contract size (part time) however the contract size can be flexible for the right candidate to deliver across a range of courses from Level 2 through to Level 3 including A Level and BTEC.
The Business Studies Team at New College sits within the Business, computing and Travel and Tourism and comprises 17 lecturers. We have a good record of achievement at all levels.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic member of staff to further the development of the Business Studies Team. We are keen to continue our visits to conferences and meetings and to engage in any activities which students can benefit from outside the immediate demands of the curriculum.
Depending on your skills and experience, you will teach across a range of post-16 courses, which could include A Level Business Studies, A Level Economics courses, Level 3 BTEC courses or Level 1 and 2 OCR courses as well as GCSE Business.
The team also deliver courses across, Law, Accounting, Financial Studies and Marketing and so an ability to teach on these courses may be beneficial.
It is essential that you hold a degree in Business Studies, Economics or related subjects and or equivalent industry-specific qualifications together with a full Level 5 Teaching qualification (or be on a teaching programme) . You are also required to have a minimum of Level 2 qualifications in English, Maths and ICT.
